Dear Friends of Corliss,

On this, Giving Tuesday, I write to ask your continuing financial support for The Corliss Center. As we all struggle to understand the shifting forces of change which create unsettling situations, from Rhode Island to Washington, DC, and around the globe, meeting the needs of our members continues to challenge the dedicated staff at this agency. Your support is a boost to both our fiscal posture as well as our staff morale and is greatly appreciated.

Our Corliss.org website has been refreshed and updated and we invite you to visit the site to hear about the agency from our Executive Director, Rick Clarkson, and get a glimpse of our residential facilities and members.

The website is now prepared to receive online contributions, but we also continue to welcome traditional checks sent to the address below. As an additional incentive, the Board has pledged to match gifts received in the month of December, up to $10,000. Corliss Center announces plan for sensory garden

The Corliss Center at 290 Main Street in Warren is creating a sensory garden and is welcoming volunteers to join in the project. On Friday, June 20, from 9:00 to 3:00 there will be site preparation, and on Thursday, June 26, there will be a community planting day from 9:00 to 3:00. Interested in being part of this project? Corliss Center Hosts Easter Luncheon

Members of The Corliss Center were invited to a festive Easter luncheon held at the Center on Main Street in Warren. The lovely Easter luncheon was organized by Natasha Mancieri, bookkeeper at Corliss. The setting was complete with beautifully-decorated tables featuring spring flowers. Gathering for food and social time together is always a welcomed part of community life!

Corliss Center Hosts Annual Christmas Party

On December 23, the members and families of Corliss enjoyed a delicious buffet luncheon in a festive atmosphere at the Center. The event included a visit from Santa, who brought smiles all around as members received personalized gifts. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Bank Newport and Bank of America for their generous sponsorship of this joyous occasion. Adding to the fun, Finance Manager Stacy Santos brought her dog along, providing an extra treat for everyone. It was a wonderful day .

Corliss Institute Hires New Executive Director.

Rick Clarkson knocked on the door after learning the woman residing inside had a plumbing issue. He had only been on the job as the Executive Director of the Corliss Institute for a matter of days, but with no one else immediately around to answer the call, he sought to address the issue right away.
