Residential Program

Members are supported by staff as individually required to live independently in their own apartments.  Among the goals of independent living are to assist and encourage Members to actively maintain their own apartments. Staffs assist members in Residential units with shopping, housekeeping, laundry, food preparation, and learning to use assistive devices for the deaf (i.e. TTY, fire alarms, alarm clock).  For Members who desire internal and external social and recreational activities, staff will assist with planning a meal or party or obtaining tickets and transport to an outside event. Staff  also assist members with personal hygiene, general health maintenance and nutrition.  It should be noted that for Residential Services, Corliss maintains 'on call' staff twenty-four hours a day.
