Our Programs

The Corliss Institute, Inc developed its current program in order to provide support and training to deaf individuals with diverse disabilities.  Our programs encourage all members to achieve independence to their fullest potential. 

The philosophy of our program is to provide social, habilitation and employment services to deaf people with diverse disabilities and others with unique communication needs in an independence and empowerment-based model that facilitates living, learning and working successfully as integrated members of the community.

Services are concentrated in four areas:  Day Program, Residential Program, Employment Services (training, internship, job coaching, paid employment) and Community Outreach/Involvement, which includes attending cultural and civic events, volunteering with neighborhood clean-up and enhancement projects, and working with staff at Fairs and Conventions to promote Corliss services and activities to parents, schools, businesses and public agencies.
